This 80-year-old Indo Fijian man sheltered in his toilet throughout the onslaught of TC Winston. He and his family in Dawasamu, Tailevu, were all smiles as Global Compassion arrived with cartons of much needed food supplies. — with Josh Donumauibulu.

Levuka bound. Off loading in Levuka Town this afternoon (Tuesday March 1st). When the Global Compassion team arrived, there was still enough light to start distribution. All hands on deck as boxes of food rations was passed from truck to waiting trucks and also onto boats to reach the villages on the other side of the island where roads have been damaged and trucks couldn't go through. Drums of Pre-mix fuel was also off loaded for boats to Moturiki and around the island of Ovalau. A big vinaka vakalevu to Pastor Eparama Bukalidi and the CMF church volunteers in Levuka for coordinating distribution.
