Re-wind to 1987, and hundreds of Indo-Fijians were simply frog - marched out of their top jobs at the barrel of the GUN and replaced by many under qualified i-Taukei. Police Commissioner Pramesh Raman was sacked because a few days before his racist coup, Sitiveni Rabuka had unsuccessfuly applied for Raman's job. Sadly, it was Raman who had infiltrated the Indo-Fijian arms shipment team in Sydney, and had reported them to the Australian Federal Police. Fiji will only progress the day we wake up and throw out the bloody COUPISTS, including the likes of Chaudhry who ran and became Bainimarama's Interim Minister for Finance, while concealing $2million in Sydney. For heaven's sake, NOT every Indo-Fijian is a multi-millionaire in Fiji. The vast majority are living in abject poverty, like many i-Taukei in Fiji. The sacking of Naiqama is sadly an extension of illegality so rife in Fiji, with Chaudhry confiding to the US Ambassador Larry Dinger that, "This [2006] coup is different because the Qarase Government was so awful...Fiji could not have survived another five years.". Well, we are saddled with the Bainimarama-Khaiyum Dictatorship. Remember, the late Fiji Sun editor Russell Hunter was kidnapped from his home in front of his wife and young daughter, detained, tortured, and deported out of Fiji over the $2million tax story.
